This year has really highlighted the importance of science and research in medicine and healthcare. Those working in the labs or our hospitals are quietly going about the process of growing the global knowledge base about disease, treatments and best processes. This happens every day at Children’s Health Queensland. This recent impact report delves into what they are doing, and the outcomes they are delivering.
I am super happy to see the publication of the first-ever Research Annual Report 2020 for Children’s Health Queensland, which I worked with the team to write. There is also a revamped website.
The health service achievements and impact is driven home throughout the publications, including Prof Anne Chang’s incredible world-leading achievements in lung disease in children. An absolutely quiet champion. There is also the excellent work underway in detecting and treating sepsis (previously know as septicaemia/blood poisoning) using genome sequencing and rapid identification techniques.
Really loved working on this project with the incredibly organised Janine Reilly and the wonderful CHQ comms team. Click here to find out more about annual report writing.
